The Audacity is a local, grassroots group that learns, educates, connects, plans, creates and acts in community.
We pool our skills, talents, and resources and form working groups to independently and creatively resist the wave of authoritarianism, bigotry and corruption, and to work nonviolently toward a future that embraces diversity, equity, and democratic inclusion. We focus on the use of visual, written, and performing arts in our actions, and within the broad scope described in this paragraph we recognize that our members will have differences in philosophy, values, issues, methods, & message. That’s how art works, and that’s how democracy works too.
The goal of our work is to implement public actions, performances, exhibitions and happenings that we hope you and others will see, join, and document through photography, video, and reporting shared with friends and posted to social and broadcast media. Through this public work, we hope to add our energy to that of other groups as we work to stop the madness, heal the nation, and forge a better future.
