| Resistance Lab Recap & Next Event This past weekend, the Virtuous Work Initiative hosted a community Resistance Lab at the VWI in Rockland focused on practical strategies for democratic organizing and building long-term economic, social, and cultural power. After an approx ~45 min. training session with Rep. Pramila Jayapal and a guest speaker and world-class scholar in non-violent resistance, the watch party participated in a breakout session along with organizing groups all over the country and world.Participants explored lessons from past economic justice movements, communication strategies, and practical tools for local action—including approaches relevant to consumer boycotts and other forms of economic pressure. The materials would be especially helpful for the Audacity boycott group and anyone interested in building economic people power. The March 8 Resistance Lab “End the Oligarchy” Readout is now available on the Rockland Resistance Resources hub under “non-violent resistance resources”, where the event recording will also be posted once available: https://linktr.ee/Rockland.resistance.labNext Resistance Lab – TBD in AprilOur next session will examine Christian Nationalism: past, present, and future, including how to recognize cult dynamics and how communities can organize and build resilient economic and civic networks in response.Learn more or sign up under the “RL” hub with the code word “attend”:https://tr.ee/GCVuJgfm7y |

Actions You Can Take to Resist ICE:As the authoritarian government extends its fingers slowly but surely over the mid coast, we may have cause to report shocking events. When we do so, let’s use the SALUTE mnemonic to help us remember what information to collect and share so that the report can be most useful. It helps us record any event fully. Please share this image widely as a reminder. |
An easy way to support Audacity… Grab a Clynk bag from Linda at our weekly demonstration. Then return your full Clynk bag(s) (the fuller, the better) to your nearest Hannaford store. We’ve raised about $120 and we’d like to raise more. Thank you for supporting Audacity CAT with your returnable cans and bottles. Together, we can make a difference. |
